It's a normal promotion, you don't have to buy a Droid X to take advantage of this. I went by the store and got it for $75 with my 25% corporate discount. |
wtf. Oh rly. Any chance of me paypaling you money and getting one? Would throw in a bit as well. |
Sure. You do know that it's a Class 2 card right? I know some people really care and won't buy it b/c of that. PM me and we can work something out if you want to. _________________

| Quote: | Google Android Market Getting Carrier Billing Options
Google's Android Market is getting payment options for wireless carriers, the company said July 23. This will allow consumers to buy applications from the Android Market and charge them to their wireless bills.
Google's Android team indicated it is preparing to allow consumers to purchase applications from the Android Market and charge them to their wireless phone bills, a major convenience that bridges the gap between the application store and phone service providers.
Android developer evangelist Tim Bray wrote in a brief blog post July 23 that Google has updated the Android Market Developer Distribution Agreement (DDA) to prepare "for some work we're doing on introducing new payment options, which we think developers will like."
Specifically, "authorized carriers" have been added as an indemnified party in section 13.1.
T-Mobile, which offered the first Android phone nearly two years ago, already processes payments for Android apps on users' monthly bills. This means users don't have to whip out their credit cards to pay for the apps before they can download them.
Bray wasn't specific about what additional carriers will support this payment plan.

But either way, the bill thing was a joke, Can't speak for T-Mobil, but the Verizon and AT&T bill are pages and pages and pages. _________________ One Company-One Set of Channels-One Price-One Bill |

I'm sure the AT&T stores have the Captivate on demo. _________________ The one and only, XMFan.com!

The mod I tried out over the weekend had that boot animation. It's really lame, plus once it gets past the fake BIOS animation, the remaining boot is a static Android logo made from ASCII art. There's no animation so you never know if your phone is actually still booting. _________________ The one and only, XMFan.com!

| Quote: | | The T-Mobile G1 should hold a special place in the hearts of Android fans everywhere as we say goodbye to the phone that started it all. Our super forum posters are reporting that word has come down the G1 is now unavailable from both T-Mobile.com, My.T-Mobile as well as retailers everywhere. It’s a sad day as this phone needing little introduction to those who have followed since the beginnings on Android. While its certainly been surpassed by its Android offspring we shall not forget the G1 was the start of a new platform. So raises your glasses to the G1, you’ll be missed. |

It had a good run and will be remembered fondly. T-Mobile obviously went out of their way to extend it's life run by not releasing any good phones until this month. They wanlted to recognize the little G1 for as long as possible |

They've had plenty of good android phones. They just didn't have a super high-end model until this month.
Their new superphones coming out in October and November will be HSPA+ 21mbps compatible. _________________ The one and only, XMFan.com!

| Quote: | Samsung's Galaxy S finds a million homes in just 45 days
Thanks to a slick marketing campaign and a growing relationship between Samsung and Google, Samsung has managed to bring its newest line of high-end smartphones to a million customers.
This comes just a little over a month after Samsung first launched the Samsung Vibrant through T-Mobile on July 13. An AT&T version of the phone, called the Captivate, is also on store shelves, with plans to roll out the Galaxy S line to Sprint, Verizon, and others within the coming months.
Galaxy S is quickly becoming as well known of a commodity as Motorola's Droid line of Android handsets. The fact that it has sold so many units without even yet being available on Verizon or Sprint shows a lot of potential for the burgeoning platform.
