|
|
| I have been a Canadian subscriber to XM US for about 4 years for two radios (INNO and Skyfi 2). I have been a subscriber for XM Canada for one year on our 1 year old GM new car. I recently declined to renew the Canadian subscription as the renewal was too expensive. I am hoping to move the car radio to my XM US plan (in place of the SkyFi 2 which I rarely use). Is it still the case that the radio ID does not provide the country of origin? So that I can simply call XM US and make the switch? |

Car radio ids are sometimes locked into XM Canada. XM Canada will need to release the id if you can convince them to do it.
I just call up and get a discounted deal. Its easier. I am surprised the cancellation department did not offer it to you.
And before I get the lecture about 'stealing', they offered it to me several years ago after they totally butchered a radio transfer. At renewal all I do now is call up cancellations and ask if they will offer me the same deal and they say yes. I am happy and they are happy since they get a sub at about the same rate as a US family plan sub. _________________ XM subscriber since 2005/12/05:- Pioneer Airware (LIFE, wife)

Because for this most recent renewal I was coming off a discounted rate. And yet I am on my third $77 run with XM US...crazy XM Canada. |

| I recently added my new 2010 Acura (purchased in Canada) to my US XM account. I had no problem doing it, after the 90 day free period it just carried on with the US service. |

I have been coming off a discounted rate for a couple of years now. They must like me. _________________ XM subscriber since 2005/12/05:- Pioneer Airware (LIFE, wife)
